What is Portraits with Pets?
Every year our amazing volunteer photographers donate their time to schedule local photo sessions to benefit the Humane Society of Independence County. These sessions are a perfect opportunity for you to create and capture lifelong memories with your pets. There are several different types of sessions offered depending on your needs. Looking for the perfect Christmas photo? A short video memory of your family and your pets? A professional studio session of your pet? We have a session for it all! Please review the session descriptions below as well as a short bio for each of our photographers. You can then book your session and contact us to discuss specifics!

Mini Pet Photo Session - $75
15-20 Minute photography session. Participants will receive 5 professional digital images from the photographer.
Session can be any combination of family or just of your pet. You decide!
Don’t have a pet but want to support a good cause? Have a photo shoot without a pet.
Extended Mini Pet Photo Session - $150
15-20 Minute photography session. Participants will receive 10 professional digital images from the photographer.
Session can be any combination of family or just your pet. You decide!

Cinematic Pet Video Session - $200
30 Minute session with videoographer Hunter Hall.
Capture all adorableness and receive a 1.5-2 minute video set to music. This cinematic portrait is an amazing way to express yourself and your pet with extra flare and style that you won’t receive with photos.

Luxury Studio Pet Photo Session - $200
30 Minute session with Photographer Clark Sanders.
This session will be indoors and great for dogs, cats, rabbits, or any other pet that just can't stay still. This is the perfect choice for smaller pets. Clark will use his ‘magic’, lights and camera expertise to grab the perfect photos of your pet. Participant will receive 12 professional digital images.

So, a little bit about me… I have loved taking pictures for just about as long as I have had the ability to do so. My first camera was a new cell phone when I was 12. I kept the passion and eventually got a “real camera” for Christmas as a teenager. This hobby grew into something that I actually started doing for other people, and I started getting paid. I kept working at it and molding it into a legitimate business. Then, in November of 2019, I made it official. HCH Photos became my official business. The saying “when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life” is very true, but also very false. The facts are that you end up working way more than the average person, but if you truly love it, it doesn’t feel like meaningless work. There are far more hours spent giving every part of yourself to your “job,” but the freedom of spirit is unmatched. So, do what you love. You won’t regret it.

I never saw myself going down the path to photography. It all started when my sister in-law needed help photographing my other sister in-laws wedding! I owned a hobby camera, and that’s all it ever was. That week after shooting the wedding, I knew it’s what I wanted to do! Fast forward to 2022, two years into doing what I love, I have found my purpose.

I have been a portrait photographer for almost 20 years and I love to create portraits that you will be proud of now and years from now. If you want something different, I specialize in high school senior portraits with a cinematic flare for clients who truly want something unique and valuable for their seniors. I also photograph business headshots and individual and team sports photos for school and leagues!
When you schedule a portrait session with me, just bring yourself, your outfits and leave the rest to me. Hey there! Thank you for taking the time to check out GypsySoul Photography. My name is Layken Hutchins and I’m located in Batesville, AR. I’m a full-time photographer by trade, but my favorite title is “Aunt Layk.” I have three wild nephews and one sassy niece! To be honest, photography was never a profession I envisioned for my future, I even hated having my picture taken as a kid. When I found out I was going to be an aunt for the first time in 2018, I decided to get a hobby camera just to take pictures of my sweet nephew for fun. By 2019 I had a beautiful little niece to photograph as well! Not long after, I decided to take the plunge by turning my side gig into a career. Countless bookings, a handful of magazine publications, and two more precious nephews later… here I am! I work full time at Economart pharmacy as a pharm. tech. Basically, if I am not at work or spending time with family, I am out taking pictures!
